In 2018 after moving to a small hobby farm and planting far too many pepper plants, an opportunity was born from an abundant harvest. With peppers to spare, the team at Freshwater Sauces set about creating the perfect Minnesota hot sauce. After a multitude of attempts the perfect recipe was created. That recipe, which they call Bluegill Bait, is the flagship product of their company. It is a balance of mild “Midwestern” heat and bright fresh flavors that is meant to capture the fun and enjoyment of the lake life they love.
